Dr. Datta Ram

Dr Dattaram Udayagiri is a Senior Consultant GI, HPB, Laparoscopic and Transplant Surgeon in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at Sunshine Hospitals, Hyderabad. He has 14 years of experience in surgical gastroenterology. Prior to joining Sunshine Hospitals, he worked as a Senior Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist, HPB, advanced laparoscopic and Transplant Surgeon at Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad. Before assuming this position, he was a consultant and clinical professor in GI, HPB and Solid organ transplant in the department of surgical gastroenterology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences from May 2011 to March 2016. Dr Dattaram also worked as Clinical Consultant Assistant Professor in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery and Organ Transplant at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, India. He co-authored a chapter on “Mesenteric Tumours” for GU Annual 2015, published by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, India. Dr Dattaram’s areas of interest include basic and advanced laparoscopic surgery, Gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary surgical oncology and reduced port laparoscopic surgery.
