Dr. G. Ananta Ram is currently serving as the Chief Radiologist at KIMS Hospitals, Hyderabad, with a special focus on Advanced Neuroimaging and Interventional Radiology.

He completed his MBBS with multiple Gold Medals and the Best Outgoing Student Award, and ranked State 1st in the Postgraduate Medical Entrance Examination. He pursued M.D. Radiology from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, followed by Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) Part 1 and Part II-A.

He obtained his D.M. in Neuroimaging and Interventional Radiology (NIIR) from NIMHANS, Bangalore, securing the Gold Medal (Golden Jubilee Award).

With more than 16 years of experience in Radiology, he has performed over 5000 cerebrovascular procedures, including cerebral angiograms, aneurysm coiling, flow diverter placement, embolization of AVMs and DAVFs, carotico-cavernous fistula repair, stroke thrombectomy, carotid and intracranial stenting, and spinal vascular interventions.

He heads the Neuroimaging and Interventional Radiology Division and is a key member of the Comprehensive Epilepsy and Stroke Care Programme at KIMS Hospitals.

Dr. Ananta Ram has authored over 30 publications in national and international journals and contributed book chapters in Neurosciences. He serves as a regular faculty speaker at national and international conferences and CME programmes, and has organised multiple academic events at KIMS Hospitals.He is also a Mentor for Post-Doctoral Residents, Principal Investigator in Clinical Research Projects, and Programme Director for DNB Radiology and Fellowship in Neuroradiology.
