Dr. Tarun Jayakumar

Dr. Tarun graduated as the best outgoing post-graduate from one of Karnataka’s most prestigious government orthopaedic training institutes. His extensive training has equipped him with expertise across a wide range of sub-specialties, including spine surgery, hand surgery, plastic surgery, paediatric surgery, arthroscopy and arthroplasty. He is proficient in ATLS protocols and has significant experience managing polytrauma patients in high-stress environments.

After completing his post-graduation, Dr. Tarun served as a senior resident and fulfilled his rural service in Chamarajanagar, where he independently managed patient care from admission to surgery, discharge and follow-up. He has also led numerous health camps and awareness programs in rural areas, providing essential healthcare to underserved communities.

Dr. Tarun advanced his specialty training at one of India’s largest joint replacement centres, where he gained substantial experience in complex primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty surgeries. He earned his fellowship in arthroplasty and robotic joint replacement surgery under the mentorship of the esteemed Dr. A. V. Gurava Reddy at Sunshine Hospitals, Hyderabad. His training included collaboration with renowned international faculty, further enhancing his surgical expertise and knowledge of advanced orthopaedic techniques.

Currently, Dr. Tarun is a consultant at KIMS Hospitals, Gachibowli, where he routinely performs trauma, primary and revision robotic joint replacement surgeries. He is certified on multiple robotic platforms for joint replacement and is actively involved in research, academics and the training of arthroplasty fellows from around the world. Dr. Tarun regularly participates in national and international conferences, ensuring that his patients receive the highest standard of care.
