KIMS-SUNSHINE Heart Institute recently hosted a CME Programme on “Recent Advances in Cardiology”, at Hotel The Plaza, Greenlands, Hyderabad. Spearheaded by Dr. Sridhar Kasturi, HOD – Cardiology & Cardiothoracic Surgery, Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, the event brought together leading cardiologists and specialists for an insightful evening of academic exchange and clinical learning. The programme featured engaging sessions on cutting-edge topics such as Resistant Hypertension and RDN Therapy by Dr. Rajaram, Carotid Stenting – When Do We Do It? by Dr. Aparanji Gopidi, Aortic Aneurysm Management and Vote of Thanks by Dr. Pranay Jai Prakash Gore, Current Strategies to Lower LDL Levels by Dr. Shailender Singh and Current Trends in the Management of Cardiogenic Shock with Focus on Mechanical Circulatory Support by Dr. Sridhar Kasturi. An informative talk on Remote Monitoring and Recent Advancements in the Pacing Field – Aveir VR was delivered by the Abbott Education Manager.
The evening session was hosted by Dr. Sridhar Kasturi, Dr. Shailender Singh and Dr. P.N. Rao, Chief Cardiothoracic Surgeon. Their presence and expertise further enriched the value of this CME event. A corporate dinner was also organised post the event that created a relaxed atmosphere for networking and continued discussion among attendees.
