The KIMS-SUNSHINE Heart Institute, part of KIMS-SUNSHINE Hospitals, played a pivotal role at the IMA NATCON 2024, held at the Centenary Convention Centre, ESIC, Gachibowli, Hyderabad from 27th to 28th December 2024. This prestigious event, hosted by the IMA Hyderabad City Branch, brought together leading medical professionals and experts for an enriching exchange of knowledge.
Dr. Sridhar Kasturi, Head of Cardiology Department at KIMS-SUNSHINE Heart Institute, delivered key guest lectures, offering valuable insights on cutting-edge topics in cardiology. One of the highlights was his session on Mechanical Circulatory Support for Cardiogenic Shock and High-Risk PCI, addressing the complexities of managing severe cardiac emergencies and the latest advancements in treatment strategies.
In addition to his lectures, Dr. Sridhar Kasturi was honored with the Smt. Kumud Ben Naik Memorial Oration, where he spoke about Renal Denervation for Resistant Hypertension, emphasising innovative approaches to managing hypertension, particularly in patients who do not respond to conventional treatments.
A significant milestone during the conference was the launch of the Coronary OCT Book, authored by Dr. Sridhar Kasturi. The book was unveiled by Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, CMD of AIG Hospitals, marking a major contribution to the field of cardiology. This book, focused on Coronary OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography), offers a case-based approach to understanding and implementing this advanced diagnostic tool.
The event also featured an interactive stall from KIMS-SUNSHINE Heart Institute, where attendees were able to explore the latest advancements in cardiology and learn about the institute’s comprehensive cardiac care services, delivered by a team of top-tier cardiologists.
