The interventional cardiology community came together for an engaging and insightful academic gathering at Marigold Hotel, Begumpet, Hyderabad, on 29th November 2025, for a focused masterclass on “PCI of Severe Calcification & LM Bifurcation with Image Guidance.”
Organised by Dr. Sridhar Kasturi, HOD – Cardiology & Cardiothoracic Surgery, KIMS-Sunshine Hospitals, Begumpet, the evening brought together senior interventional cardiologists from across Hyderabad for case-based discussions and collaborative learning. The program featured two high-yield clinical sessions, each including five complex case presentations from renowned cardiologists across institutions like KIMS-Sunshine Hospitals, Apollo Jubilee Hills, Yashoda, AIG and others. Emphasis was placed on step-by-step approaches, imaging-supported decision making and learning points from each case including – management of heavily calcified coronary lesions, complex bifurcation strategies, use of IVUS and imaging guidance, clinical tips on improving procedural safety and outcomes.
The gathering witnessed an enthusiastic turnout from both seasoned cardiologists and postgraduates, underlining the academic strength and clinical passion of Hyderabad’s interventional cardiology fraternity.
