Early diagnosis is crucial in fighting lung cancer! 

A recent conference on lung cancer was successfully held at KIMS-SUNSHINE Hospitals, Paradise. The event, organised by the Centre for Respiratory Diseases and headed by Dr. J. Raghunath Reddy, saw participation from 150 medical professionals, including pulmonologists, medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and postgraduate residents. Dr. Deepak Talwar stressed the significance of early detection, as it improves illness control and disease cure. The conference covered various aspects of lung cancer, including newer diagnostic tools, screening modalities, and advanced treatments like immunotherapy, 4D CT, and robotic thoracic surgeries. Young pulmonologists actively took part, and a quiz competition saw the best three postgraduate students being awarded. Let’s raise awareness about early diagnosis for a brighter, healthier future!
