KIMS Sunshine Hospital Launches Advanced Spine Surgery Suite in Begumpet

KIMS Sunshine Hospital, Begumpet, has launched the region’s first Safe Spine Surgery Suite.

Dr A.V. Gurava Reddy, Chairman of the Sunshine Bone & Joint Institute, stated that this suite enhances surgical safety and precision, noting that modern innovations have significantly reduced risks compared to past procedures.

He also shared that the Sunshine Bone & Joint Institute, established over two decades ago, has grown into one of India’s largest orthopaedic networks with more than 25 specialists and recognition from global organisations like ISAKOS.

Senior Spine Surgeon Dr Himanshu Prasad explained that the suite integrates spine endoscopy, navigation systems, ultrasonic scalpels, high-definition microscopes, neuromonitoring, and high-speed drills. These tools enhance accuracy, minimise blood loss and expedite recovery.

Dr Gurava Reddy clarified that surgery is only recommended when necessary. He noted the Institute has grown over 20 years into one of India’s largest orthopaedic networks, featuring over 25 specialists.

With this new addition, KIMS Sunshine Hospital further strengthens its position as a leading centre for advanced orthopaedic and spine care in Hyderabad.
