KIMS-SUNSHINE Hospitals Opens Advanced Cobotic Microscope for Neurosurgery
KIMS-SUNSHINE Hospitals, Begumpet, has introduced the ZEISS KINEVO 900 robotic microscope, marking a significant advancement in precision-driven neurosurgery. The technology is expected to improve surgical safety, accuracy and outcomes, especially in complex brain and spine procedures.
The facility was inaugurated by Dr A. V. Gurava Reddy, highlighting KIMS-SUNSHINE Hospital’s commitment to advanced neurosurgical care.
The KINEVO 900 combines robotics with high-definition imaging to support surgeons in delicate operations. Based on cobotics, it enhances precision and control, while its robotic arm ensures stable and smooth movements, reducing fatigue during long surgeries.
With 3D and 4K visualisation, surgeons can view structures with exceptional clarity and detail. Tumour fluorescence technology helps differentiate between tumour and healthy tissue, enabling safer removal.
Features such as PointLock, Position Memory and the QEVO micro-inspection tool further enhance surgical precision and access.
